The standard skip hire period is usually between 7 to 10 days. However, we can shorten or lengthen this period based on your requirements.

A permit is not required if the mini skip is placed on your property. However, if you are placing it on a public road, you may need a permit from your local council, a process which usually takes a couple of days. One of the benefits of hiring a mini skip is that its small profile makes it easier to fit into tight spaces.

Your mini skip should be placed in a location that is flat and accessible by a lorry. Ideally, this location should be on your property, so you avoid the hassle of getting a permit from the local council. It’s important to note that skips can be heavy, so they should not be placed on surfaces that are easily damaged, like soft driveways.

In most cases, we will be able to get a mini skip to your home on the same day that you call us. However, if you are going to temporarily place the skip on public property, you will need a council permit. In Essex, this usually takes between 2-4 days, so you will need to complete this process before we can deliver your mini skip.

You should only place inert, non-hazardous waste into your mini skip. This includes items like paper, soil, tiles, bricks, furniture, concrete, ceramics, wood, plastics, metal, doors, general household rubbish and so on.
